We truly exist out of obedience to Jesus’ call in Matthew 28:18-20. Mission Travel was founded in 2006 by Chris & Alicia Niemeyer. Their passion for travel, missions and entrepreneurship culminated with the idea of – serve the international travel needs of those involved in missions.  They are passionate senders and give generously to missions all over the world.


Chris Niemeyer

Chris Niemeyer founded in 2006. His passion for missions and travel formed the idea of serving the travel needs of those serving the world. Chris loves to travel and has been to nearly 30 countries – with another 100+ countries on his bucket list. He’s a group travel specialist and cruise group guru – putting together conferences at sea for businesses and other like-minded groups. For some strange reason, Chris’ interests start with the letter “f” – faith, family, friends, food, fitness, finance & far-off places. Outside of work, he’s likely being tackled by and playing with his 4 young kids, coaching their sport activities & enjoying family time.


Cary Boster(fluent in Spanish)

Cary has been in the travel industry for 12 years specializing in the Missionary/ Humanitarian niche. She has a strong background with group bookings and is known for her out-of-the-box thinking and problem solving. Cary has traveled to several cities in Europe, Nairobi, Dubai, and most of the Caribbean. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband Matt, stepson Cole, and their four-legged baby Cabo, offshore fishing, and playing on the beach in North Carolina.


Karen Ceisner 

I started in travel 18 years ago as an International Group Travel Consultant.   Travel wasn’t always my passion.  My passion was working with kids at risk.  After graduating college, I worked with the Department of Social Services, Child Protection and Foster Care Programs in NYS.   I then moved to Raleigh, NC with my husband, and took what I thought would be a temporary role as a travel consultant for a small local agency.   That is when I met Lela Steel.    Lela  was  an amazing, beautiful lady and missionary who traveled faithfully to Ukraine.   Lela worked  with Harvest International and was going to help with  an orphanage,  House of Hope (  The goal was to find children, whom had been cast a side and living on the streets.  A vast majority of these children had birth defects.  Lela, would find children of all ages on the streets, rescue them from predators or other uncertain fates, and provide them with food, shelter, and love in the name of God.   Learning what Lela did, as well as so many of my other clients, touched my heart so deeply, I fell in love with the travel industry, specifically serving missionaries and humanitarians, I knew then working with such great purpose, travel was no longer a temporary career path.


Maria Barone

“New Yawk” born and raised, Maria lived in Virginia for 25 years working at CBN from 1981 to 1998. She started in their Prayer Counsel Department and Administration divisions serving as support to three directors, before her first trip to Israel. While at CBN she also had the opportunity to travel to the Middle East and Europe many times and has made approximately 20 visits to Israel, facilitating groups from 30 to 500 through Israel, Jordan and Egypt. In 1998 she moved back to NY and started her own tour company, Provident Tours, doing primarily school groups and Middle East tours. Israel tours are clearly her specialty, though she has in the last few years traveled to Italy and Turkey – Rome, Florence, Tuscany – beautiful and historic….and the food! Maria’s travel and tour experience has shown her that when you travel, whether faith-based or leisure, you come to understand that “we” are all the same, desiring the best for our families, friends, neighbors, and community. We all need God’s love and travel, whether in the U.S. or abroad, gives us the opportunity to share that love.


Erin Goettsch

Erin is a lifelong southerner who has enjoyed travel adventures to Africa, Asia, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and Europe, including temporary residences in both Germany and the Netherlands. She got her professional start in the travel industry in 2004, specializing in group trips for missions, disaster relief, and humanitarian aid. She prides herself on creative logistics, for destinations both close and far-flung. She fully believes that encountering new people and places is the best way to connect to each other as neighbors and people of God. When we travel, what once felt foreign can come to feel familiar, making this a smaller, more hopeful and peaceful world. When she isn’t dreaming up trip plans, Erin spends time reading, writing, drinking coffee, singing in choir, and road tripping with her husband and three children.


Howard Hicks(fluent in Spanish)

Howard started working in the travel industry in 1989 and specialized in ski/snowboard and scuba diving trips and other adventure travel. He has many times seen first-hand the benefits of using a travel professional to manage the fine details required in leisure and group travel. Howard has traveled to 40 countries and 49 states extensively…clearly travel is his passion! He has served as a missionary in Argentina for the last 6 years and lived in Costa Rica one full year to learn Spanish. Howard continues to be involved in missions work throughout Peru and Argentina and now focuses on mentoring youth in Cusco, Peru who are aging out of orphanages and need life skills for successful independent living. Half of the year Howard works from Phoenix, AZ and the other half from Peru and Argentina.


Kari Kurth

Kari began working for Mission Travel in 2010 and it was a natural fit with her love of travel, having visited 21 countries and all but but two states. She was born and raised in California and moved to Maine in 2012 with her husband. In 2013 Kari began work as a reserve deputy for Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office and is now a full-time patrol deputy. She still provides services for my clients, but with limited office hours. Maine, “The way life should be” is a great state to vacation. Summers are glorious, but short, Falls are filled with brilliant colors, but Winters and Springs…well, nothing is perfect. If you have plans to travel east Kari will tell you where to get the best lobster.


Sheree Pree

With nearly 15 years in the travel industry, Sheree started her career as a Hawaii Destination specialist booking luxury homes in Hawaii while a resident on Maui.  She currently facilitates international travel, family vacations, cruises & group travel adventures, with an emphasis in destination weddings and honeymoons. She is a certified Wedding & Honeymoon Specialist with both Sandals Resorts in the Caribbean and Palace Resorts in Cancun/Riviera Maya. Her many hotel property certifications include Riu, Melia, Marriott, Disney and more.  She is also an Ambassador with the local Chamber of Commerce and a member of the local chapter of BNI.

Sheree raised four sons and has a seven year old grandson who is her pride and joy.  Aside from her years in Hawaii, she has traveled to Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Jamaica, the Bahamas and most of the United States!  Her passion is sharing Jesus with those in need, specifically those caught in substance addiction and recovery.


Laurel Williamson

Laurel Williamson’s time with Mission Travel has been a purposeful way for her to work in an industry she also loves to play in, while meeting a desire to serve those who change the world by caring for others.  She has extensive sales experience and excels in the client relations department because of her overarching belief that, in the end, it’s all really about people and how we served them. Laurel has raised three children and visited 10 countries with her husband Lloyd, with whom  she shares the volunteering, entertaining, traveling, worshipping, and nesting parts of her life in Southern Oregon.
